About this site:

A "verbal tip" is a term commonly used in the service industries to describe when a customer tells you how wonderful the service was and then fails to actually provide a gratuity for that service. It can be a frustrating experience for anyone that encounters this.

In some regards, this site playfully uses that term to describe what it provides. I am not going to give you any money for visiting, but hopefully the information you find here will help you earn the most from your efforts at work or lead you in a direction that makes you happier.

I include sections for both staff and management on this site. My philosophy is that one group cannot be successful at the expense of the other. When one group learns more and becomes more successful, the other group also does - the "rising tide lifts all boats" theory.

Restaurant Jobs - Whether you are looking for a new job, or have one to post, I maintain a section just for jobs in the restaurant industry. Also one the most accessed areas of the site.

Waitstaff Articles - I publish a wide variety of articles, written by me, or friends and visitors. There are some very helpful articles in the library for waitstaff. Why not write your own?

Management Articles - I publish a wide variety of articles, written by me, or friends and visitors. There are some very helpful articles in the library for management. Why not write your own?

Opportunity - Some fun and interesting ways to earn extra money in your spare time or while online. Also some links to guides for starting your own restaurant or other business.

Tip Us! - If you gain some valuable insights and are able to use that information to earn more money, I also accept gratuities.
